In contrast to the simple application of cosmetics on the skin, putting them through iontophoresis can introduce nutrients into the deep layers of the skin, as the galvanic current increases the permeability of biological tissues. Besides substance introduced by iontophoresis, are more active, thanks to the action of the galvanic current on them, which increases their efficiency.
 
A more common method - iontophoresis alkaline solution with a negative pole. Used to cleanse skin, softening and removing sebum plugs. Positively charged sodium ions accumulate in the sebaceous and sweat glands, increase the pH of the skin, which helps loosen the epidermis and opens your pores. This promotes deep cleansing of the skin, which, after such a procedure is much more receptive to all of the nutritional and moisturizing agents, which also can be introduced into the skin by iontophoresis. For example, anti-inflammatory for skin problems, or nutritional and tonic for aging and hydrating in the case of dry skin.
